Quest Support Services Inc. went through the CET accreditation in the fall of 2013.
What is "CET"?
As a status, CET accreditation is a public affirmation that an organization's programs and/or services meet the standards of quality expected by the funders and users of community disability services. Programs and services that meet and are included in ACDS' acknowledgement of accreditation are listed on the certificate presented to the organization.
As a process, accreditation is ACDS' method of recognizing and acknowledging an organization's programs and/or services, and shows that the organization is committed to excellence and the pursuit of continuous quality improvement.
Why do we strive to meet CET Standards?
Creating Excellence Together (CET) is the only accrediting standards in Alberta that were created for Albertans with developmental disabilities in consultation with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, guardians and staff. As a result, CET addresses all of the aspects of life that are important to people who receive services in Alberta.
The CET Standards have become the provincial benchmark for assessing the three primary components of an organization's operations: programs that ensure individuals have quality of life; the quality of service needed to provide and maintain quality of life for clients, and all aspects of the organizational framework.

PDD Safety Standards
In early 2013, Quest Support Services began the process of aligning our residential services in order to meet PDD's Safety Standard guidelines.
Why does Quest strive to meet Safety Standards?
The Persons with Developmental Disabilities Safety Standards Regulation focuses on ensuring appropriate policies and practices are in place for the safety of individuals that receive PDD- funded supports. The PDD program requires the annual inspection of eligible PDD – funded settings using standards laid out under the Regulation as authorized by the Persons with Developmental Disabilities Community Governance Act.
What are the standards exactly?
There are 8 standards that each home must meet in order to be in compliance. The standards are:
Standard 1 Safety Requirements
Standard 2 Maintenence Requirements
Standard 3 Environmental Requirements
Standard 4 Medication Assistance &
Medication Reminders
Standard 5 Water Temperature
Standard 6 Concerns & Complaints
Standard 7 Safety & Security
Standard 8 Codes & Bylaws
