Quest offers healthcare benefits to employees who meet some basic requirements. These include: 6 months of full-time employment with the agency which is 30+ hours of work per week. Quest and Blue Cross work together to provide employees with extended heath, dental, and insurances. Many of the services provided can be of great assistance in unexpected times of need. Blue Cross benefits are mandatory for all eligible staff. Employees are able to opt out of the health & dental portion ONLY if they have equivalent spousal coverage, or coverage through another employer. Quest has partnered with RBC to provide disability coverage for our eligible staff. Staff who are off work for medical reasons may be eligible for wage replacement up to a percentage of their wage.
Our Blue Cross plan covers short-term disability (up to 17 weeks), while RBC covers long-term disbility (after 17 weeks up to 5 years). If you have questions about this coverage, please contact Kendal for more information.
All work-related injuries should be reported to Quest as soon as they occur. We will gather information from you and assist you in completing the proper documentation to submit to the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta.
